It was cold and misting as Tulsa took the field against cross state and league rivals OU Roses. The match started off quick with wing Maria Syas scoring on a breakaway after an OU mistake at minute 4. The conversion was successful by fullback Neariah Persinger. With the help of strong pressure from the pack, continually pushing OU off the ball, and when turnover opportunity presented itself the back line worked the ball to the fullback resulting in the next 2 tries. At the end of the first half, Fly Half Rose Branscum-Anderson powered through the OU defense to score with the conversion successful.
The second half started off with quick scores from Rose and Neariah thanks to domination at set pieces and breakdowns. Hard running allowed a well played give and go between the fly half and openside flanker. It resulted in a breakaway try for flanker Hanna Santos at the 57th minute. Tries were also scored by Center Jordan Dunacusky and Wing Maura Quigley. In all Tulsa scored 12 tries and 8 conversions with OU scoring their only Try at minute 57.
At full time the score ended up 76-7 in favor of Tulsa. This win seals the #1 seed going into the playoffs in May. Next game is March 25th in Dallas against the Griffins.
