Tulsa started the weekend off with a win against the tournament hosts Little Rock, with some nice play in the set pieces by the forwards along with the backs moving the ball well and everyone linking up for numerous team tries the game really set the tone for the weekend. The the second match had Tulsa vs Harding University, even though the Harding boys were out matched they fought hard and never gave up all weekend. This game allowed Tulsa to get the young guys a lot of playing time and saw some nice performances from some of the NSU boys that made the trip with the club. The Sunday final had Tulsa playing Springfield, who won the other side of the bracket. Tulsa came out quick scoring a few early tries and there stiff first half defense had Tulsa up big at half time. Tulsa put it away with two quick second half tries to win the final 39-12.
